In tallyerp9 – if there is two back up files with 2(two) different dates – once overwrite wrongly shortest data instead of longest data – how we can again restore correct or needful data to place. – GSRAO – Visakhapatnam ( from Andhra Pradesh)
From your question, I guess you had two backup file in the same name.Like TBK900.001 and you have over written this latest file with another TBK900.001 which is earlier one.
If this is your case, it is very difficult to recover the file,In my knowledge File recovery software itself can’t do this job. Even though you try with a recovery software. Try search in google for following words “free file recovery software” or “free data recovery software”.
You can even try with Windows Restore option to get back the over written file.
RESTORE LATEST DATA
If your case this; You are having both the files in your computer, and you did restore later one instead of latest file. Then you can restore tally data using latest file.
If you don’t know which file is latest , right click on the back up file, click on properties, you will find the date of creation & modification of back up there.
Hope my answer help you, please don’t hesitate to ask if you have different issue than mentioned above.
